Window Tint Pricing Guide

Once you decide to tint your car or home windows, you may find yourself asking “how much will window tint cost?” or should I get the highest quality tint or the next best thing? The fact of the matter is that window tint isn’t terribly expensive. For high-quality window tint for your home the price is usually $3 per square foot. The next best quality is around $2.25 per square foot. Although the price can be cheaper, its best if you stay away from the lower grades of window tint because they aren’t too reliable and for just a tad bit more you can get premium quality that will last longer. The prices for car window tint are about the same price as home window tint. Some car window tint can cost up to $7.00 per foot which is not necessary to buy unless you own a limousine renting company and want the best possible tint for your cars.

You may want to measure your windows to figure out a rough estimate of how much window space you have on your car. Most cars have 4 side windows and a front and back window. Odds are you wont tint your front and back windows because it will make it harder to see the road. In case you do want to get your front window tinted, you may consider just getting a strip of tint on the top section of your car so that the sun will still be blocked but you will also be able to see outside your car. The back window is probably the only large window that you will tint completely.

Basically the price you spend on window tint depends on three things. How many windows you have, how big your windows are, and how much you are willing to pay for tint. A 2 door car  will likely be smaller and thus have smaller windows than a huge 4 door truck. This leaves room for you to get premium grade window tint if you choose to do so for smaller cars since you have less windows to tint. You may even choose to get the next best window tint if you want. The choice is up to you. Just keep in mind the three determining factors on the cost of your window tint.

Sometimes people want to get their windows tinted with designs like an eagle or their business logo. Odds are you wont be able to buy this kind of tint at the store so you will probably find yourself having to go to a tint shop to get it custom made and installed. If your not interested in getting traditional tint then you probably wont be able to go to the store and buy pattern tint. Now that you know the varying prices of window tint and the determining factors of how much you will spend, you can decide weather window tint is right for you.
